In 1976, Nelson Naidoo and his wife, Kamala, opened Coastal Radiators in Marburg.
Even though there were many hardships along the way, with sheer determination and perseverance he kept the business alive and was greatly respected within the business community.
In 1991, he sadly passed away and his son Vernon abandoned his studies to join his mother and help her run the business.
“I would like to pay homage to my dad, who was one of the business pioneers in Marburg and who built the business from the ground up. In the late 1980s, we moved into the premises we occupy today.
“He would be very proud of how the business has grown over the years and the fact that we have turned his dreams into reality by securing the Silverton Radiators franchise.”

From inception 42 years ago, Coastal Radiators has become a landmark business in Marburg, owned by the legendary Nelson Naidoo, who left a thriving family business to his wife Kamala and his son Vernon.
“We are the best at what we do and the fact that we have been recognised for our consistent service and awarded the Silverton Radiators franchise is a great achievement. My father would be very proud,” said Vernon. “It’s always been about service and we have become the number one go-to company.
“Although my mother has retired, she still plays a very active role behind the scenes.
“We now extend our service as far north as Umkomaas, inland up to Harding and down to Umtata in the Eastern Cape. Our service charter has expanded from simply repairing radiators and has progressed into inter-coolers, oil coolers, heat exchangers and fuel tanks on heavy earth-moving machinery, agricultural vehicles, heavy transport trucks for fleet owners, panel beaters and many other industries.
“My mom, Kamala, and I would like to thank the local community and all our loyal customers for their support over the years, and we look forward to being there for them in the coming years.
“I would also like to thank all my staff for their hard work and diligence as this achievement is also a reflection of their dedication and quality work.
